Walgreens

Many of you have probably not considered Walgreens as a way of making or saving money. Many more of you are probably wondering why I even bring it up in this article. The reason is simple: Walgreens is a veritable goldmine of free products and even money.

For those of you who may not know, Walgreens is a pharmacy (and much more) store located throughout the Unites States. It offers a wide range of pharmacy, beauty, food, stationary, and other products. It also offers the EasySaver catalog, a monthly publication of rebate items, coupons, and deep discounts.

The EasySaver catalog may be used for its coupons only, but the really savvy Walgreens shoppers sign up for its rebate club. These shoppers buy the Walgreens products that are available for free after rebate, submit the receipts either by mail or online, and obtain the money back by check or gift card. The extremely savvy shoppers go with the gift card option, because Walgreens adds an additional 10% of the rebate money as a gift onto the gift card. That means that, for those who play their cards right, more money can be made in rebate gift cards than originally spent on merchandise. This 10% bonus in additional money on one’s original investment sure beats the dividends being given out by banks and most stocks!

But this is only the beginning. The really, extremely, savvy shoppers do more than just make their additional 10% in gift card bonus money. No, these shoppers also come armed with coupons that match up to the rebate items available each month. Using these coupons, these shoppers end up paying considerably less for their rebate items. However, when they submit their rebate forms, Walgreens refunds the full purchase price of the items!

I know of several individuals who regularly make $10 or more each month on Walgreens rebates by using coupons plus the EasySaver catalog. This is money that is in addition to all the free products that are being claimed every month. Tallying up the free products and the money, I figure that these folks are probably earning a grand total of at least $40 or more every month.

I am also a member of the Walgreens EasySaver rebate club. I have found it to be a good experience so far: not only are all my toiletries covered every month, but I get to spend my gift card bonus money on other essentials (like candy). Walgreens has never missed a payout on my rebate money, and its online site even saves me the cost of a stamp when claiming my rebates.
