Super-Couponing

Jill Cataldo, also known as "The Coupon Queen", uses the concept of combining grocery coupons with store sales in order to save big money on everyday purchases. On her web site, Super-Couponing, Jill uses supercouponing as a launch pad for her instructional courses to individuals and to groups. In these classes, Jill promises that you will learn such things as what big mistake most couponers make, what products you should never pay for, which stores allow coupon doubling, and even how to have stores literally pay you to shop. For those of you not interested in taking (and paying for) classes, Jill also discusses her super-couponing concepts via a syndicated newspaper column. In this column, Jill provides many of her shopping concepts for free, such as in the article entitled "Win the Grocery Store Price-Cycle Game." Many national newspapers run Jill’s column; to see if your newspaper is included, click on the Syndicated Column tab after going to the Super-Couponing web site.

Recent update (October 22, 2011): Couponing and supercouponing, which in some circles is also called extreme couponing, has exploded in popularity. Perhaps a side effect of the Great Recession, websites about supercouponing have multiplied. TLC even broadcasts a reality TV show called "Extreme Couponing", which portrays how four families essentially pay next to nothing on groceries and stockpile thousands of dollars’ worth of household goods such as toothbrushes, pasta sauce, chips, sports drinks, toilet paper, etc. Some of these household goods require special storage in spare bedrooms, garages and basements because they outstrip the capacity of the kitchen or bathroom to hold everything. In many cases, the household itself takes on the look of an apocolyptic war bunker. Have some of these extreme couponers gone too far and become glorified hoarders? I discuss the shopping habits and strange lifestyles of supercouponers in a post entitled "The Trouble with SuperCouponing (Extreme Couponing)".

If, on the other hand, you yourself would like to join the ranks of these super couponers, here is my informational blog post on the steps involved in extreme couponing:

How to Become A Super or Extreme Couponer

I also highlight super couponing on two of my Hubpages posts: How to Do Super Couponing (or Extreme Couponing) Part I and
